KingSpry Welcomes Two Education Attorneys
KingSpry is pleased to welcome two new Education Law attorneys to the firm. Rebecca A. Young, Esquire, and Kassandra P. Aristide, Esquire, will join the firm’s expanding Education Law and Special Education Law Practice Groups. One of KingSpry’s Special Education attorneys, Brian Jason Ford, Esquire, is leaving KingSpry to continue his special education law practice in New Jersey.
In addition to her Juris Doctorate, Ms. Young has not one but two Master’s Degrees in Psychology. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh in 1988 with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Human Services, Ms. Young earned a M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst in 1990 and an M.A. in Clinical Counseling from MCP-Hahnemann University in 1998. She earned her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 1999 and also completed a 6-week summer abroad program in Athens, Greece, with Temple University School of Law.

Rebecca A. Young, Esquire
Formerly an associate in a Stroudsburg-based law firm, Ms. Young previously concentrated her practice in family law, education law, real estate transactions, and civil litigation. She served as conflict counsel for Monroe County Children and Youth Services and as Solicitor for Burnley Workshop of the Poconos, which provides rehabilitation for people with disabilities. In addition to Pennsylvania, she is admitted to practice in the Third Circuit; Middle District of Pennsylvania; and Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Young has also been a contributing author on family law issues for Pocono Parent Magazine since 2006 and she is Chair of the Monroe County Bar Foundation.
Ms. Aristide, formerly an associate in a Bethlehem-based law firm, graduated summa cum laude from DeSales University in 2004 with a B.A. in Elementary and Special Education and also received her Pennsylvania teaching certification. She then earned her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2007. While at Quinnipiac, Ms. Aristide founded and served as President of the Education Law Society; served as Student Senator on the Executive Board Student Bar Association; served on the Executive Board for the Public Interest Law Project; and was a Student Ambassador for Law School Admissions.

Kassandra P. Aristide, Esquire
Prior to coming to KingSpry, Ms. Aristide focused on general practice and workers’ compensation cases representing injured workers. She is the founder of the mentoring program “Girls Haven” at Fair Haven Middle School and serves as a volunteer track coach for Hyde Leadership High School.
