Leadership Lehigh Valley Class of 2008 Introduces reACT LV

New Campaign To Raise Awareness, Provide Resources and Promote Change

June 20, 2008: KingSpry is proud to announce that Attorney Jessica F. Moyer, an associate with the firm, graduated President of her class with Leadership Lehigh Valley on June 4, 2008 at a ceremonial dinner at the Best Western Hotel and Convention Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Each year, participants in Leadership Lehigh Valley are charged with creating a project that addresses community issues. The graduating class of 2008 has created a new campaign called “reACT Lehigh Valley” which is designed to alert those who live and work in the area to some surprising statistics. For example, did you know that tonight, the average age of a person in a Lehigh Valley homeless shelter will be 9? That each year in the Lehigh Valley, more than 1000 students drop out of school, yet every public school district in the valley is underfunded?

 “reACT Lehigh Valley is a grassroots media campaign aimed at raising awareness of key social issues affecting the greater Lehigh Valley,” says Attorney Moyer. “It provides the community with resources to react, and ultimately change these issues by connecting people with various non-profit organizations who will advise and assist community members in donating their time, treasures, or monetary donations to improve the quality of life in the Lehigh Valley.”

“The 2008 class of Leadership Lehigh Valley will be attending numerous community events throughout the summer educating the public on what they can do to reAct and to assist Lehigh Valley non-profit organizations,” Ms. Moyer adds. “Also, the 2008 class welcomes the invitation to speak with organizations throughout the Lehigh Valley about what they can do to assist the class with their mission to reACT.”
