About Us

KingSpry is a law firm dedicated to providing clients with prompt, cost-effective and sensible solutions to legal problems. Together with its predecessors, KingSpry has provided comprehensive legal services to businesses, insurance, professional, personal, education and municipal clients since the 1970s. Our lawyers strive for the highest level of personal integrity and are dedicated to providing personalized service in a responsive, creative manner. Our firm is not only service-oriented with respect to our clients, but we are also committed to serving the communities where we live and work through volunteerism and board service.

Firm History

KingSpry evolved from the affiliation of two established law firms: King, Herman, Freund, Swartz & Reid; and Turtzo, Spry, Sbrocchi, Faul & LaBarre.

E. Drummond King, Esquire began practicing in Allentown in 1961 and formed a practice that initially focused on defense litigation in 1970. He was later joined by Kent H. Herman, John E. Freund, III, James F. Swartz, III and Kevin C. Reid.

Donald F. Spry, II returned to his hometown of Bangor and began practicing with Edmund P. Turtzo in 1973 in the general practice of law. Domenic P. Sbrocchi and Terence L. Faul later joined the firm.

On January 1, 2001, the firm of King, Spry, Herman, Freund & Faul, LLC was founded. The members decided that their Pennsylvania-based practice would best grow and thrive with a main office located in Bethlehem. Since its inception, KingSpry has upheld the traditions of its predecessor firms, addressing the expanding needs of clients in a progressive and proactive manner.

In July 2002, Jerome B. Frank and Paul S. Frank, former partners in the Allentown firm of Frank, Frank, Penn & Frank, joined the firm, and in January 2004, Kirby G. Upright, a Monroe County practitioner with a statewide practice, became a member of the firm. KingSpry attorneys now assist clients with their legal matters from their Allentown, Bethlehem, Stroudsburg and Pittsburgh offices.

In June 2008, KingSpry established Greyfriars Institute, LLC, a conference center designed to provide programs and onsite training for clients and members of the public.
