James F. Swartz, III focuses his practice in the areas of Insurance Law and General and Estate Litigation. He is a Civil Trial Advocate, certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, which indicates that he met the rigorous standards approved by the U.S. Supreme Court and the American Bar Association for trial attorneys. In 2011, Mr. Swartz was named a Super Lawyer by Philadelphia Magazine for his work as a litigator.
A graduate of Moravian College, Mr. Swartz received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Bridgeport School of Law in 1989. He was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity and served as the Executive Managing Editor of the University of Bridgeport Law Review.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Swartz served as a law clerk to the Honorable Donald E. Wieand of the Pennsylvania Superior Court from 1989 to 1991.
Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Mr. Swartz is a member of the Bar Association of Lehigh County, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the Donald E. Wieand Inn of Court.
Due to his extensive experience in the areas of civil litigation, Mr. Swartz has presented Continuing Legal Education programs relating to personal injury settlements for the National Business Institute and presented Auto Law Practice Tips for the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.
Mr. Swartz is the President of the Board of Directors of the Bar Association of Lehigh County and has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired of Lehigh County.
