Kevin C. Reid, chair of the firm's Public Finance Group, practices in the areas of public finance, education law, municipal law, employment law, and litigation. He is a member of the KingSpry Executive Committee and serves as the firm's Deputy Managing Partner. Mr. Reid's experience as a litigator and transactional attorney has enabled him to assist clients on a wide range of matters. In addition to serving as bond counsel in numerous municipal transations, ranging from school district, city, and township financings to Indian tribe financings, he has also served as solicitor and special counsel to various public school districts. In that capacity, he advised school boards, directors, and administrators, and appeared on their behalf before state and local agencies and state and federal courts on matters related to employment, taxes, real estate, contracts, and student matters.
A graduate of Dartmouth College and Villanova University School of Law, Mr. Reid served as a congressional intern for a Representative to the Congress of the U.S.; served as a judicial law clerk; and worked in the management ranks of a large national bank in the Human Resources and Government Affairs departments.
Mr. Reid is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the Pennsylvania Association of Bond Lawyers, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Bar Association of Lehigh County.
Mr. Reid lectures on a variety of municipal finance, school law, and employment law topics to school administrators, directors, and attorneys. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Reid has consistently and continually served on numerous nonprofit boards and finance committees and held officer positions in those organizations. Most recently, he was appointed to the Board of Trustees of Life Church in Allentown. |
