Jessica F. Moyer is a partner in the family law and education law departments of King, Spry, Herman, Freund & Faul LLC. Her practice includes all areas of family law, including divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, prenuptial and property settlement agreements, child support, child custody, domestic violence and protection from abuse. Ms. Moyer’s practice is mediation and LGBT friendly. She also acts as assistant solicitor for numerous public school districts and has advised school boards, directors, and administrators and appeared on their behalf before state and local administrative agencies and courts.
Ms. Moyer is involved in the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Family Law Section. She serves as a Council Member for the Section and is a former program chair. Ms. Moyer has written articles on a variety of family law topics and has served as a panelist for several continuing legal education courses. She has co-authored a chapter on family issues for non-traditional families in the publication Legal Issues Confronting Lesbians, Gays, Bi-Sexuals, and Transgenders. She has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer “Rising Star” by Super Lawyer Magazine and Philadelphia Magazine, was named a Lehigh Valley Business 40 Under 40 honoree in 2014, and was included in the 2016 list of Ten Best in Client Satisfaction of the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.
Ms. Moyer is a member of the Northampton County Bar Association, the Northampton County Family Law Committee, Lehigh County Bar Association, Monroe County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania School Boards Solicitors Association.
In addition to her busy legal practice, Moyer is involved with many boards for Lehigh Valley community organizations including Via of the Lehigh Valley (board VP), the Foundation for Bethlehem Area School District Schools (board VP) and the American Lung Association (former board member and Mission Award honoree), and she can often be seen sprinting for organization such as RSDSA, the Womens’ 5K, First Strides, Via and more.
