PBI Press has published a Third Edition of “Representing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Clients,” edited by attorney Kirby Upright, and with additional chapters contributed by members of KingSpry.
The book, which is available as of June 1, 2016, presents updates on the evolving law, including the impact of such landmark cases as Obergefell, Whitewood, and Windsor on Pennsylvania law.
Mr. Upright wrote the chapter on Estate Planning and Administration issues for LGBT couples. Family attorneys Donald F. Spry and Jessica F. Moyer wrote a new section on domestic issues, unraveling divorce and premarital agreements as well as the question of whether common-law marriages will be recognized retroactively, and KingSpry of counsel Dr. Kathleen Conn co-authored a chapter on special issues for LGBTQ youth.
