Mr. Gilsbach weighs in on the conundrum schools face when trying to comply with state laws that permit prescriptions for medical marijuana and the duty to accommodate students with such a prescription under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, while not running afoul of federal laws, such as the Controlled Substance Act and the Rohrabacher-Farr Amendment, which may make such actions a federal offense.
