KingSpry congratulates family attorney Jessica Moyer, who has been invited to present “The Changing Landscape for Custody Standing for Grandparents and Other Third Parties” for the Northampton County Bar Association on August 6, 2018.
The session, which will be held at the NCBA office and includes lunch, begins at 11:30 and is part of their 2018 Continuing Legal Education Lunch Lecture Series.
The new law known as SB 844, which became effective the first week of July, modifies and expands standing for grandparents and other third parties. There are various other bills pending which would give grandparents and third parties other avenues to care for children in particular situations. Her presentation will discuss the new law, options for practitioners and their clients and the pending legislation.
Attendees will be eligible for 1.0 Substantive CLE credit.
